This group is just what the name says, Chad and Dave's track club. We started the group because we were running one day and thought, damn it would be cool to run with more people. Maybe there were others out there that wanted to listen to a 3 mile rant about who makes the best taco in town.

Let me clarify the use of "track club". We are a group that does some runs frequently. Someone is always training for a triathlon or marathon, 10K, etc. We take it just seriously enough so we can call it a "club" and we use the word "track" because we have thought about running around one for speed work.

This is an old school running group, where we just meet up and run, then have some fun. We frequently do in-town runs (so downtown, mid town, buckhead, etc). Sorry to all those OTP, you know who you are. We welcome you, but usually don't go past where cells cut off. We usually do runs somewhere between 3 miles and 20 miles, a few times a week.

We have a few sponsors. We have been approached by Nike and Gatorade, however, we did not want to sell out our club. We are true to our original sponsors that we suckered to give us some free food and drinks, but I think they won as we usually end up eating or drinking there after our run.

You probably will join the group if you know Chad or Dave, but many have joined because they probably recognize our logo from a runners universe magazine cover story on our club. I forget what issue it was, maybe a year ago or so. If you come to the meetup, I will try to remember to bring a copy if you really want one.

One day we might even make a shirt, no promises.

“I enjoy lifting weights more than running, so I usually only run a few days a week - I figure joining a running group will help me stick to it more consistently and actually make it fun LOL”

“Chad, The Turtle Crawl looks like a good race. Jeckyl Island would be a fun destination too. I had been looking at the Lake Lanier "My First Triathalon" but it is scheduled for June. I would rather shoot for a May goal like the Turtle. John”

“I wanted to join this group because there is no one that I would rather spend time with than the two founders, Dave and Chad; and because a run every now and then would do me some good.”
